How we pick our Christmas gifts

Family Gift Finds is an independent UK gift guide. Our goal is simple: save busy parents and gift-buyers hours of scrolling by showing which premium Christmas gifts are genuinely in demand right now.

Where the list comes from

Every morning we review UK retailer top-toy announcements (such as Argos, John Lewis and Amazon UK), bestseller and "most wanted" charts, and gift guides from consumer and lifestyle publications such as Which?. Each gift page links to the sources that featured it.

How the ranking works

Each gift gets a trend score out of 100. It goes up when a gift appears on an official retailer list, is recommended by several independent guides, or is reported as selling out, and drifts down when sources stop mentioning it. Gifts that are discontinued, recalled or no longer trending are removed.

Prices

We check UK prices regularly and show a guide price range. Prices move quickly in the run-up to Christmas, so always check the live price on the retailer's page before you buy.

How we make money

Links to Amazon are affiliate links: as an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you. This never affects the ranking – gifts are ranked only by how much they're trending.

About our photos

We only show a photo when it is a real photo of the product itself. Where the photo shows an earlier or standard version, the caption says so. Gifts without a free-to-use photo of the real item show an icon instead, so check the retailer's page for official product images. Our photos come from Wikimedia Commons under these licences:
